mChek bags TiE-Lumis Partners Entrepreneurial Excellence award

Microfinance Focus, Sept. 23, 2009: India's mobile solutions provider 'mChek' has been awarded the TiE-Lumis entrepreneurial excellence award. The award is to encourage startups which have made a mark in the industry. WWB center to hold its first workshop in Bangalore

Microfinance Focus, Sept. 22, 2009: The WWB Center for Microfinance Leadership is planning to hold its first "Women in Leadership" workshop, aimed at women CEOs and senior managers, in January 2010 in Bangalore, India. The center is an initiative of Women's World Banking (WWB), a leading global network of microfinance institutions, with aid from the MasterCard Foundation to the tune of $3.1 million. Full story
