Flooding in northern Pakistan

The recent flooding in northern Pakistan has created a national calamity of staggering proportions. Many Pakistani organizations are striving to help, including WWB network member Kashf Foundation. Kashf is working on two levels. It has mounted an immediate relief effort and is seeking funds to supply critically-needed food and basic medicines. A donation of $75 will allow Kashf to buy a local package of supplies that will be enough to sustain a 5-member household for one month. Kashf has had experience conducting a similar relief drive for the 2005 earthquake and for last year's displaced families. Details on what a relief package will contain as well as how to donate are in the PDF below. Kashf is also using its expertise to think through a reconstruction plan post-crisis.
