WorldRemit introduces online money transfer to Nigeria

Microfinance Focus, September 15, 2011: International online money transfer company, WorldRemit in partnership with Nigeria’s with eTranzact International Plc has launched online money transfer service to Nigeria

Using this service, Nigerian diaspora will be able to send money back home with a wide variety of payment options including debit cards, credit cards and Interac Online (Canada).

The service offers instant bank deposits into bank accounts of 19 leading Nigerian banks or cash pick-up from an extensive network of payout locations.

"eTranzact has made funds transfer services a reliable service through cutting edge technology that recognizes the specific needs of both banked and unbanked recipients," said Valentine Obi, MD of eTranzact International Plc. "We enable recipients who do not have bank accounts to withdraw funds from any ATM machine without the use of a physical ATM card".
