Sanabel to host Annual Conference on Arab Microfinance in Jordan

Microfinance Focus, May 11, 2011: The Microfinance Network of Arab Countries, Sanabel will be hosting its Eight Annual Conference on June 7th-9th in Amman, Jordan.
Entitled ‘Microfinance in the Arab Region: Challenges of the Past and Opportunities of the Future’, the conference is expected to be gathering over 600 participants from across the globe to discuss Risk Management, Responsible Finance, Product Development & Innovation in the Arab region.
Along with recognizing outstanding micro-entrepreneurs from Jordan, Sanabel will be organizing the Grameen-Jameel MFI Awards for Innovation, Leadership and Sustainable Growth to recognize top-performing institutions in the MENA region.
The conference will be preceded by the Third Arab Policy Forum – which is being co-organized with the Consultative Group to Assist the Poor (CGAP). A special one-day event for national networks is co-organized with SEEP Network targeting all existing and newly established national networks, as well as all parties interested in establishing national networks in the Arab region.
