Microfinance Focus, September 21, 2011: Microfinance India Summit 2011 is now open for early bird registration. Organized by ACCESS Development Services, the Eighth Microfinance India Summit will be held on December 12-13, 2011, in New Delhi.

Summit 2011 will focus on implications of new regulation, on current trends and issues relating to transparency, client protection, and provision of remittance services, micro housing, micro insurance, impact assessment of microfinance and renew focus on Self Help Groups as means of social empowerment and for delivery of financial services.

The Summit will feature plenary sessions on: SHG Version 2: The New Surge, Microfinance in a Regulatory Regime: What will change; Responsible Finance, National Rural Livelihoods Mission – Structures for Financial Intermediation and Aadhar - The basis of Financial Inclusion.

‘State of the sector Report on Microfinance 2011’ will be released on the inaugural day. Two other reports including ‘Microfinance India Social Performance Report’ and ‘Two Decades of Self Help Groups in Microfinance: Time for a New Direction?’ will also be released during the Summit.
