Oikocredit buys 13% stake in Georgian microfinance institution Bank Constanta

Microfinance Focus, Sep 22, 2010: Oikocredit one of the world’s largest sources of private funding to the microfinance sector has recently made an equity deal with Georgian microfinance institution Bank Constanta, buying 13% stake in it for an undisclosed amount. Peru’s Microfinance Insti Mibanco gets $45m IDB loan for women microentrepreneurs

Microfinance Focus, Aug 7, 2010: The Inter-American Development Bank has announced a syndicated $36 million loan to help Mibanco – Banco de la Microempresa S.A. increase its lending to female microentrepreneurs in Peru. Oikocredit pushes for social audit of microfinance investors
