Nobel Laureate Muhammad Yunus to speak at Indian parliament

Microfinance Focus, Dec. 4, 2009: The 2nd Prof. Hiren Mukerjee Memorial Annual Parliamentary Lecture will be delivered by Nobel Laureate Prof. Muhammad Yunus of Grameen Bank in Bangladesh, on Wednesday, Dec. 9 at 6.00 PM in the Central Hall of Parliament House, said a note by Indian parliament.
The theme of the lecture will be “Social Business: A Step Toward Creating a New Economic and Social Order”. India’s Vice-President and Chairman of Rajya Sabha (Upper House) Mohammad Hamid Ansari will preside over the function and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will be the Chief Guest.
