Accounting and Microfinance Conference

Microfinance Focus, November 10, 2011: Blassys Publishing will be hosting an Accounting and Microfinance Conference in North Carolina, USA on December 2, 2011. The conference will focus on the current state of the microfinance industry, accountability, roles of accountants, accounting for social change and the effectiveness of the current reporting standards.
The conference is expected to gather CPAs, accounting/financial professionals, educators, regulatory and standard setting bodies, social investors, microfinance institutions, donors, investors and other stakeholders.
The conference will include plenary sessions and presentations from microfinance stakeholders on the transformations taking place within the microfinance industry, the challenges of balancing profitability with fairness, emerging issues and their implications for the accounting profession.
Andrew Tulchin, the Founder and Managing Partner of Social Enterprise Associates, a registered ‘B Corp’ providing consulting, operating and capital raising services is one of the key speakers for the conference.
